Naharlagun police on Sunday apprehended two persons from a Petrol Depot located at Banderdewa while they were trying to sell one pistol(7.65mm, RP-156850) along with six live rounds.
Capital SP M Harsha Vardhan informed Arunachal24 that there was a tip of information received that some miscreants are trying to sell a pistol at Kankarnallah, Naharlagun.
The police team of Naharlagun Police team under the supervision of OC PS Naharlgun Inspector Nikom Riba and SDPO Make Bui led SI S.S Jha along with H/CT H.B Roy, Ct Duli Ado, CT Kina Tacho, Ct K.K Singh, Ct T.Dada, Ct L. Ronrang , rushed to the location as we get from the source and successfully arrested them.
The miscreants were pursued from Kankarnallah and the party intervened them at Banderdewa causing the arrest and seizure.
The pistol and live rounds 6 in numbers along with one cartridge was recovered and accordingly seized.

A case vide NLG PS Case No-147/18 u/s 25 (1)(a) Arms Act was registered and both the accused persons are currently in police custody.
The accused were identified as Kipa Tatung of Karsingsa and Phassang Taha of Banderdewa.
Meanwhile SP said that we are keeping a strict watch on suspects and more action will follow
