Chief Minister suggested participation of NABARD in the meeting meant for developing long-term road map on 27th June 2019, which will be headed by Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein.
GM requested CM to take necessary steps for enhancement of borrowing power under article 293(3) to utilise the loans already sanctioned under Rural Infrastructure Fund of NABARD. In view of low level of credit flow to agriculture, it was suggested that initiatives like suitable One Time Settlement Scheme, a credit guarantee scheme, accelerated role of cooperatives, etc will help the state. The co-operative sector in the state is in need of a revamping and requested government attention for setting up of a Committee/Study to evolve a development plan.
Concluding the discussions, CM expressed his happiness about the initiatives being taken up by NABARD in the state and requested NABARD to work more closely with state government for overall development of the state.
