Itanagar: DNGC concludes college day celebration

Dera Natung Govt. College (DNGC), Itanagar concluded its 40th college day celebration. Bamang Felix, Home Minister, Govt. of Arunachal Pradesh and also an alumnus of the college graced the valedictory function as chief guest while Rode Bui, MLA Dumporiji was present as guest of honour.
Dr. N.T. Rikam in his welcome speech highlighted the history of the college and summarized the events of the 4 day-long celebration.
Bamang Felix congratulated DNGC for actively participating in Hamara Apna Arunachal Abhiyan and urged students to join him in making Arunachal Pradesh a state of good and responsible citizens by rising above narrow communal, religion and regional barriers.
He advised them not be judgmental and implored them to understand the Citizen Amendment Bill (CAB) must be understood properly before coming up with a verdict.
He reiterated that “we do not inherit the world but we borrow them for our children” and remarked that our ideas and action must be guided by sustainable development.
Rode Bui, MLA Dumporiji advised students to make the best use of available facilities of the college and also to explore various unconventional avenues of life and career.
Rode Bui, Principal Dr. Rikam and Vice Principal Kumar Tok distributed prizes of literary, cultural and Games and sports competitions while Bamang Felix gave away outstanding awards to best NCC, NSS, performers of various competitions, House including Mr. and Ms. DNGC-2019 to Lijum Moshing and Nayak Marok respectively.
Felix also felicitated Mr. Ligang August for outstanding achievement in Art, Anthropology Department for March Past and faculty members Ms. Tumbom Riba and Dr. Joram Ania Tana.
