BSF Nabbed Trans-Border Smuggler along with Cattles

Two notorious Trans-Border Smuggler along with huge number of cattles were arrested, yesterday, by troops of Guwahati Frontier of Border Security Force from the Indo-Bangladesh border in Dhubri district of Assam.
In yesterday’s midnight two Indian cattle couriers Taser Ali and Amad Ali were nabbed by the alert BSF troops of BOP MM Char from the riverine border in Dhubri when they were trying to smuggle out cattle from India to Bangladesh. The BSF troops also seized 06 cattleheads, meant to be smuggled out, from the area. The approximate value of the seized cattle heads amounts to Rs 57000/-.
During questioning they revealed that they were cattle couriers and were working for one Md Saidur, who was the kingpin of this illegal cattle trade. all are resident of South Salmara.
Besides this, troops of Guwahati Frontier also seized 236 cattle heads, meant to be smuggled out to Bangladesh, in the previous night, from the Indo-Bangladesh border in Dhubri, Coochbehar and Falakata. The approximate value of the seized cattleheads amounts to Rs 21 Lacs.
Meanwhile BSF troops of BOP Azampara in Coochbehar also seized 51 cattleheads today in the morning, when these were being smuggled out to Bangladesh. The smugglers escaped taking advantage of bad weather conditions. The approximate cost of the seized cattle amounts to Rs 7 Lacs.
The apprehended smugglers and the seized goods have been handed over to concerned agencies for further disposal.
