Arunachal: Training on handling of anti riot weapon concludes

A total of 53 officers including SP Capital, SDPO of both Itanagar and Naharlagun, all OCs took part in this training.

The Capital Police in collaboration with 138th Bn of CRPF conducted four days refresher training course on handling of anti riot equipment and anti-riot drills at 138 bn CRPF camp Senki View, Itanagar concluded today.

City police chief Tumme Amo inform that a total of 53 officers including SP Capital, SDPO of both Itanagar and Naharlagun, all OCs of Itanagar, Naharlagun, Nirjuli, Banderdewa and WPS of  Capital Complex and personnel were imparted basics of handling of anti-riot arms and equipment such as Gas Guns, Anti-riot Guns, Pump Action 12 Bore Guns, various kinds of tear smoke shells, chilly powder shells and, stun grenades, 3 way grenades, dye marker, rubber pallets, rubber bullets, plastic bullets, etc.

Firing  practice of various anti riots arms/equipment were also conducted during the training. The necessary of such training was felt in view of recent large scale violence during anti- PRC protest and to maintain peace, law and order, sense of security in days to come especially in connection with ensuing election and declaration of results. More Such training will be conducted in coming days.

However, SP Capital Tumme Amo has requested all the people of the state to maintain peace and prevent crimes specially in our own Capital Complex for its progress, prosperity  security and make it a very beautiful place for all of us to live a much better and happier life and to assist police achieving the security of capital in best possible way.
