Arunachal: Nine injured after TATA Winger-Truck collision

In a road accident near Harmoti this morning, a Pasighat-Itanagar bound Winger carrying passengers met with an accident.
Confirming the accident, OC PS Banderdewa R K Jha informed that the Winger bearing registration No AR 09 84509 collided with a truck near Harmoti of North Lakhimpur district near Laluk police station.
Nine passengers were injured out of which two are stated to be in critical condition. The injured passengers were treated at Laluk who were discharged later. However the two critically injured passengers were referred to Naharlagun for treatment, the OC said.
As per information from the sources, the accident occurred due to mechanical failure and steering lock, OC added. Out Post Harmoti is investigating the case, Jha said.
