Itanagar: Capital police organise sensitisation on cyber crime with students
Capital police organised awareness programme for students on cyber crime.

Capital Police team led by SP, M Harsha Vardhan and SDPO Kamdam Sikom while attending the awareness programme on cyber crime at Kendrya Vidayalaya No-2 interacted with the senior students and make them aware about use of social site and social media of its good and bad effect.
SP Capital M Harsha Vardhan said that there have been several instances of crime through social media, like whatsapp, facebook, phone calls, draw winning of lottery through several site and through internet have created several damages in mind and incurred financial liabilities. All these crimes and cheating are being happened as due to having no proper knowledge of utility of several social sites and social media.
Vardhan inform that unlike normal crimes the cyber crime are also very serious which we need to remain cautious and alert because these crime have been involving in defaming of reputation, prestige and other including financial and economic loss and file of defamation and FIR after it.
so if we remain cautious and alert several such cyber crimes can be prevented before it takes place like providing of PIN no of account and personal information to unknown person without knowing of its use
SDPO Kamdam Sikon also address the students and spoke several such instance of cyber crime and solving by the police and appeal the student to report any such instance before it is too late.
KV-2 Principal GD Meena, Vice Principal Dr. B Saha also address the students and thanks the city police team and appeal them to organise such more awareness programme on several social issue of the society by which the student can have their close coordination with their parents for a safety and happily life.
Vardhan when contacted said that Itanagar Police station have reported around 17 cases of which 7 have been solved while rest are under investigation. At Naharlaugn Police Station 6 cases have been registered 3 have been solved and three pending and are under investigation this year.
Several persons have been arrested and involvement of crores of Rupees and other valuable items. So better if you face such problem immediate report to nearest police station and police will naturally help you but before remain alert.
