Arunachal: Heavy erosion in Noa Dihing River, Udaipur village under threat in Changlang

The situation is still critical at Udaipur village being located in the proximity of right Bank of Noa Dihing River. Entire village is threatened if the erosion and lateral migration of Bank continues.

Heavy erosion continuing at Sliantipur, Jyotipur, Dumpani, Udaipur and Mudoidweep village along the right bank of Noa Diking river in Changlang district.

As per report of the department of disaster management here said that several Agriculture and horticulture crops washed away. One number of house at the verge of being collapsed and few more are at threat.

Low lying areas of Dumpani village inundated with Hood water and braided channel of Noa Dihing uncrossable at Duinpani. Two numbers of houses marooned at Dumpani village but dwellers are shifted to relatives house.

The situation is still critical at Udaipur village being located in the proximity of right Bank of Noa Dihing River. Entire village is threatened if the erosion and lateral migration of Bank continues.

The report also said that due to heavy Road blockage at 2 km ahead of Palizi towards Rarnda under Thrizino Circle of West Kameng district.

The department is however issue advisory to the citizens to remain alert and inform in any situation of any disaster to the nearest administration.
