Arunachal: Coordination meeting of SHGs held in Jairampur
More than 70 nos. of office bearers from different SHGs were attended in this meeting.

A coordination meeting for SHGs of Jairampur, Nampong & Manmao with Bank for Bank Credit Linkages and Financial Literacy was organized by R.K. Mossang Memorial Society & Machan (NGO) supported by General Administration of Jairampur Sub-Division at Circuit House, Jairampur on 27.09.2019.
S.S Choudhury, ADC Jairampur told the participants about the objectives of conducting this meeting is to discuss any problems face by SHGs in banking related issues updating passbook, applying for loan, cash withdrawal and deposits etc for smooth functioning of SHGs and improving village economy.
He also told about Swachh Bharat Abhiyan” a plastic free campaign” has been launched by govt. of India and requested not to use a single use plastic in our everyday life.
He asked to collect the plastic in one place that can be collected by Urban Development Department, Jairampur.
He reiterated that we have a collective responsibility to keep our environment safe and clean. The participants had taken the pledge that they will not use plastic from today onwards.
N Gogoi, Branch Manager, Jairampur explained that every SHG need fund to do any activity because their monthly contribution is not sufficient enough, 3rd party funding always required. SBI Jairampur is always needy to provide fund as credit basis (loan).
He told that, every SHG of Jairampur has saving bank account but credit finance as loan was not taken by any SHGs. Recently 2 SHGs had taken loan from SBI Jairampur and repaying their loan.
He requested all the participants to try to use “Yono App” this app has all the banking facilities, it will save their time and energy. He told to participants that he is always been ready to support SHG in providing loan.
