The Political Crisis in Arunachal Pradesh took a surprising turn today.  Congress won the political battle in Arunachal.  Chief Minister Nabam Tuki resigned and Pema Khandu elected as New CLP leader. Pema is the Son of  former Chief Minister  late Dorji Khandu.  After the change in CLP leadership, all the dissident MLAs came back and the Congress party has touched the figure of 45 out of the 60 member Assembly. Mr Khandu staked claim to  form the Govt but  till now there is no communication from Rajbhawan regarding his Swearing in.

In  today’s CLP meeting, all the Congress MLAs with Nabam Tuki and the dissident MLAs with their  leader Kalikho Pul were present. Congress has brought a new formula and succeeded to save its Government in the border state by a change in leadership.

It must be mentioned here that the dissident MLAs had asked for a change of leadership since a year ago when Pema Khandu raised his voice against the then Chief minister Nabam Tuki but their repeated requests went to deaf ears as the Party President ignored the request of dissident MLAS. This led to the dissident MLAs electing Kalikho Pul as the CLP leader and forming a new Govt, in a special Session called by the then Governor JP Rajkhowa.

As of now the situation in the state is under Control. Congress once again won the Political Battle and National Democratic Alliance seems to have suffered a major political defeat this time, as the Rebel MLAs have joined the NEDA under the banner of Peoples Party of Arunachal Pradesh.
