Arunachal: ACC&I president Tarh Nachung terms allegations baseless
Itanagar
Denying all allegations against him doing rounds in social media, Arunachal Chamber of Commerce & Industries (ACC&I) president Tarh Nachung on Thursday termed them as baseless and unfounded and contradictory to the facts.
“I along with ACC&I PRO Tehi Pekho, chief adviser Pradeep Kumar, Naharlagun BWC general secretary Kipa Nai and Nirjuli BWC secretary Tok Tabin asked hundreds non-Arunachalees gathered in front of Maruti showroom at Naharlagun on Wednesday to disperse immediately and open their shops.
Pointing out that whatever has happened was unfortunate but police have already arrested the accused and a case has been registered with Naharlagun police station (No 169/19) under/section 302 of IPC for law to take its own course of action, he said that he along with Nai had reprimanded the group neither to make a non-issue an issue nor send wrong message outside the state.
“Open the shops immediately which have been closed down without any permission of ACC&I and BWCs,” they had said before the gathering dispersed, he told media persons here on Thursday. Naharlagun PS OC inspector K Yangfo leading a team had also assisted in dispersing the gathering, he recalled.
The financial help extended to wife of the deceased intended to reflect humanitarian sense of Arunachalees at the time of distress, he said adding ACC&C is dead against any illegal market bandh and rally.
