Arunachal:  AAPLU celebrates International labour day

The week long mega celebration of International labour day began here with several sporting, cultural events which shall concluded on May 1 next at Nikum Niya general ground organised by the All Arunachal Pradesh Labour Union (AAPLU).

Capital Deputy Commissioner Prince Dhawan while addressing the gathering lauding the service of labour force in nation building and said that every development and the base and foundation of the building is being done by the labour. If the foundation is good the building and development would be in a good progress and this culture can be termed the force behind is labour.

Labour should be skilled and emphasis on skilled labour so that the wages and quality of the works would be better.

He appeal all workers community to enhance their knowledge and skill with technology and maintain work culture which the dignity of the labour and become professionals.

He stressed the need to developed in-house (state) skill labour among the locals else to bring labour force from outside

Recalling the labour movement in the world and said it is actually celebrated on May day but few organisation and places it is celebrated few days before or after but is the day of celebration of the community who does labour for a work which is the part of the development of a area, state and country.

He assured his all support in promoting skill development to the labour community in association with ITBP and requested the AAPLU executive members to send batches of 50 labour for 7-8 different courses as per prevailing demand of the state

Taking the opportunity Dhawan said that the Swachh Bharat Abhyan/Mission mission is started for preparing ourselves to remain neat and clean with get away from garbage, the programme is being started with river cleaning, park cleaning and also appeal the people to maintain cleanness and hygiene

Referring to the demand for a labour stand in capital complex Dhawan said to provide land for the purpose and assured to construct

Guest of honour Naharalgun EAC Hento Karga while elaborating the labour law and said that the dignity of labour should be respected by every one as labour are the nation builders. He also emphasis to carry out their work with quality and sincerity.

AAPLU President Dan Tadu in his address said that we have been doing our duty and are shouldering the responsibility with sincerity and shall continue to do so for the development of state. there have been some problems with the labour community which are shorted out amiably with the help of executive members and local administration from time to time.

General Secretary Tame Akin, Convenor Tame Achung among other also address the gathering.

Delegates from various district and central committee are taking part in programme.

Later DC and EAC also inaugurated the food stall installed in the ground  and kick off the sporting event at the same venue.
