Arunachal: ANM & ASHA Kits with Bicycle distributed at Namsai
The ASHA Kits is a district innovation with support from the elected representatives of the district and OIL under CSR and the ANM Kits with technical support from the UNICEF.
Namsai
Chau Zingnu Namchoom, MLA, Namsai and Jummum Ete Deori, MLA, Lekang along with Dr. Tapasya Raghav, DC Namsai and Dr. Nang Soreya Namchoom, DMO Namsai distributed ANM and ASHA Kits with Bicycles today.
ANM Kits containing: Facility Specific Kit Bag, Digital Weigh Scale, Digital BP Instrument, Stethoscope, Digital Thermometre, Glucometre (Monitor + Test Strip), Sahlis’ Haemocheck, MUAC Tape, Blood Grouping Reagent and Torch Light were distributed to each of the 15 SC (14 of them HWCs).
ASHA Kits containing: Kit Bag, Digital Weigh Machine, Digital Thermometre, Digital stop Watch, Measuring Tape, Torch Light, Umbrella, Pregnancy Test Kits, Dettol, Cotton Roll, Wash Proof adhesive plaster, ORS Sachets, Oint. Betadine, Cord Clamp, Surgical Gloves, Nylon Thread, Blades, Head Cap & Tab IFA and a Bicycle to each of the 149 ASHAs in the district. The Drugs and consumables are issued to meet up the annual target of each village.

At the very outset, Dr. Nang Soreya Namchoom, DMO while welcoming the chief guest, guest of honour, DC and others highlighted the aim of the programme.
DC Dr. Tapasya Raghav, IAS profusely expressed her thankfulness to the elected representatives of the district for supporting the initiative. She also proudly stated that Namsai is the first district in the state to come up with such a beneficiary and service provider friendly initiative. She urged all the ANMS/HWOS, ASHAs and AFs to work with zeal and without an excuse to make the district improve in health sectors in leaps and bounds.
MLA of Lekang, Jummum Ete Deori, was immensely impressed with such a beneficiary oriented initiative, she expressed. She also expressed her commitments to keep helping such initiatives in the district. She congratulated the ASHAs and ANMs to be a part of such an historic event.
Local MLA cum Chief Guest C. Z. Namchoom was optimistic and pledged to support in every possible capacity. He assured that team Namsai with the elected representatives, the able DC in the district, the ever working DMO and other supporting officers and officials will certainly excel in the venture to providing best health care services to the people of Namsai. He hugely praised DC Dr. Tapasya Raghav IAS, DPO Dr. Keshab Sharma, State Consultant RMNCH+A, Dr. Muktesh and DMO Dr. Nang Soreya Namchoom and team for making such an historic event happen.
The distribution programme was held today at Namsai Town Club which was attended by Dr. Keshab Sharma, DPO, Dr. Tope Yomcha, DRCHO, Dr. Muktesh, State Consultant RMNCH+A, Dr. Yapi Tayang DANO, Dr. Chow Nakasing Mantaw, MS DH Namsai, HWOs, AFs, AHAs and staff of DMO Office and DPMSU Staff.
The programme ended with vote of thanks from DRCHO Dr. Tope Yomcha.
