Capital Police conducted a surprise raid at Sunday market near Helipad in Naharlagun and seized the gambling material.

The capital police has been putting a vigil on the illegal gambling which is being reporting from nook and corner of colonies in hide and seek way and they should either refrain from organising or involving or face legal action. said Capital SP M Harsha Vardhan.
He appeal the denizens to inform police whenever they find illegal activities in and around their neighbourhood and the capital police will naturally take action .
Vardhan inform that Naharlagun Police Station team under OC Insp Kiksi Yangfo with active participation of Insp Tadu Hassang, SI K Dev, SI Sushant Jha has intensified measured against gambling.

He said that OC Yangfo have warned the market organisers not to allow such activities or else they will face action next time.
He expressed his displeasure over gambling at various places in Naharlagun and called for regular and strict action and the general public also need to be alert against the bad affect of gambling by individuals in community and society
