Former Chief Minister and Sagalee MLA Nabam Tuki appeal the youths and players to shine well for name, fame of own self, family members, community, state and nation but play well with devotion, determination, sincerity and commitment while maintaining communal harmony and brotherhood.
Tuki was addressing the inaugural ceremony of 1st Arunachal Pradesh T20 Cricket Premier League 2018 here at Nyokum celebration ground at Jully today.
Tuki said that there is no dearth of talents in our youths , but need special guidance and practice to win any games and sports. Perfect Practice and hard labour will naturally lead a success.
Tuki said that earlier the Arunachal Cricket Association (ACA) have face a challenging time and with sincere effort the ACA have been given member in affiliating body of the Board of Control for Cricket in Indian (BCCI) and later this our state unit have been given permanent Member and now onward we will be receiving facilities.
Our team have been started getting benefit as our team have been recently played Ranjee trophy and few other matches with other state and is a good trend will continue to grow and our players will also able to play with other state team and will shine at national and international level in time to come.
A place for construction of cricket stadium have been earmarked and selected in the Papum Pare district and will go for preparation of proposal for approval, later he will also work for construction of cricket stadium in all district of state so that efficient players come up at state level and to regional and nation level.
An understanding and approval have been received by state government for playing of games in such time in multipurpose stadium at Yupia which is coming up and nearing completion.
Honorary Secretary Roger Nabam Hina while inform that the league match will continue till December 22 and semi final on December 23 and final match will be played on December 24. The premier league is being organised by Itanagar Cricket Association.
The winner team will be awarded with a cash prize of Rupees Three Lakh, trophy and certificate, the runner up will be given away with 1 lakh cash, trophy and certificate, the main of the series will get a Scotty, and Main of the Match will get an Android mobile handset.
All players will be given with cash incentive of Rupees Two Hundred till league match while Three hundred daily for semi final and final match. There are 13 team from 13 district of state and by next year we will try for involving all the district in the said platform.
Local land development committee Tassar Mohan, Itanagar Cricket Association (ICA) President and Organising Committee Chairman Taba Techi Vice President Chukhu Mama also address the gathering.
The first match was also kick off by the chief guest which was plated between Capital Cobra and Siang Invaders
