Local MLA Phurpa Tsering on Wednesday donated a Fire tender to the people of Dirang from his own money. people appreciated his work.

The denizens of Dirang breathed a heavy sigh of relief with the new fire tender which was dedicated to the people of Dirang subdivision during the eve of 72nd independence day celebration at Dirang by Local MLA Phurpa Tsering, amidst the gathering of thousands of people showering words of appreciation for the noble gesture.
It is worthwhile here to mention that the equipment was recently procured by Phurpa from Delhi through his own savings.
Very significantly it comes at a juncture when haunting memories of the inferno at Dirang bazar leaving trails of devastation with ailing families all along is still afresh in the minds of victims & also the onslaught of recurrent forest fires & mishaps year after year at Dirang makes it very much saught after.
