Namsai- Nanam Khamiyang Village inundated

Sudden flash flood was reported from Nanam Khamiyang village of Namsai District on Monday .
On receipt of information DC Namsai deputed ADC Namsai along with JE and other staffs of WRD who visited Nanam Khamiyang village under Namsai Circle today on 30/07/2017 and found that there was water up to two feet in the village which got reduced gradually in about three hours.
This sudden and unexpected flood is apprehended to be caused due to opening of Water – logging somewhere in Manabhum Hill. Some Paddy fields were destroyed. No human or house loss was reported. Today’s rainfall recorded at Namsai was 8 mm.
