Training programme on Cashless Transaction and Digital Payment

Training programme on Cashless Transaction and Digital Payment was organised on Monday at Zomkhang Hall, Tawang by the District Administration, which saw huge participation from Govt. Officers, Officials, GBs, PRI leaders, NGOs and traders. During the programme, Sang Phuntsok, DC Tawang apprised the gathering about the Governments initiative to promote digital payment for day to day transactions and how the use of technology will help in bringing transparency and accountability in the system. He further requested each and everyone to share the information/knowledge gained during the training amongst ones folks.
Nandu Lal Sharma, Chief Manager, State Bank of India, Tawang who imparted the training dealt at length on the Unified Payment Interface (UPI), USSD ie Unstructured Supp. Service Data, Aadhar Enabled Payments, e-Wallets and Rupay/Debit /Credit/Prepaid cards. Detailed description of use of Internet Banking from registration process, amount transfer etc. was demonstrated through power point presentation.
While explaining about the benefits and features of POS, Chief Manager requested the traders to adopt the digital mode by bringing in use of same for daily transactions. However, he requested everyone to be aware of fraudsters and take necessary precautions by refraining from divulging details .
A video demonstrating the security features of the new Rs.500/- and Rs.2000/- Currency notes was also showed to the audience.
