Preparation for 70th Independence day celebration under way

The preparation for the state level independence day celebration began here in full swing with all department of the state gear up all its activities unlike every year here at famous Indira Gandhi Park.
Capital district administration EAC (festival) Tame Yajum while talking to this daily said that the administration have gear up its activities for celebration of the national festival here. Unlike every year ceremonial parade by the security forces in full uniform and students contingents from various schools of capital complex would be the main attraction. There would be at least 25 contingent taking part this year.
There would be stalls installed wherein the state portal to be launched on the day, Adhar enrolment centre, exhibition of Textile & Handicraft, Horticulture, Itanagar Municipal Council stall and stall of Disaster Management of NDRF/SDRF and Fire & Emergency Services. The list of 25 parade contingent taking part which include a contingent of IR Mohila Battalion from Nagaland is expected to take part. including other normal programmes/agenda of the state government
PWD, Power, PHE, Forest department officials are also in their job actively for making the programme a grand success while appealing the people to enjoy the celebration.
Parade Commander, Dy. SP Khonsa Kardak Riba while said that we have already started the rehearsal of the parade for last one week, Dy. SP, PTC (Training) Dusu Kaling, 3rd IRBN Inspector Yomto Riba is assisting him in making the parade a beautiful one. He said that Band platoon of PTC Banderdewa, VKV Banderdewa, Holly Cross School Itanagar, St. Thomas School Naharlagun and other are also taking parts which shall add to the beautification of the ceremonial parade on Independence day on August 15.
