Yomgo Yorkers and Kurung Kumey Hawk team secured first and second position in 1st Arunachal Pradesh T20 Cricket Premier League-2018

The team of Yomgo Yorkers today lift the trophy of 1st Arunachal Pradesh T20 cricket premier league defeating the Kurung Kumey Hawk in interesting match played at the Nyokum football ground of Jully today amid huge gathering of sports lovers.

Winning the toss by Yomgo Yorkors, went for bating and set the target of 168 runs in 20 over while Kurung Kumey Hawks trailed and loos the match by 8 runs.

Yomgo Yorikers was awarded with the winner’s trophy, certificate and a cash award of Rupees Three lakhs while the runner up team Kurung Kumey Hawks was awarded with runners up trophy, certificate and a cash award of Rupees One Lakh Fifty Thousand.

Nada Kago of Yomgo Yorkors was awarded the main of the match who awarded  with trophy, certificate and a mobile handset.

Akhilesh Sahani was declared man of the series who was awarded with trophy, certificate and a Scootty.

Tirap Challengers team was adjudged as the Fair play team of the tournament title and awarded

Addressing the valedictory function Yachuli MLA Likha Saaya in his address said that everything in this world is possible but determination, sincerity, devotion and dedication is required.

Arunachal Cricket Association (ACA) which is now a registered body affiliated with BCCI should come up to develop infrastructure and built up good trained played from our state who will play and bring laurel with name and fame for us.

Government of Arunachal Pradesh is now focusing for building several infrastructure for promotion of games and sports which include several stadium at SLSA campus, Yupia, Pasighat, Daporijo and the old grounds are also being renovated and it have been in the priority agenda of Pema Khandu led team who himself is a young and think for the young budding talented youths and sportspersons.

He said that it is a humble beginning for cricket in our state and hope for a success like of players from other states team who play for the country and appeal all stake holders to support games and sports of which state is now growing.

Guest of honour Itanagar former MLA Kipa Babu while addressing the gathering congratulated the players said that it is a beginning of cricket in state and would go a long way if our young boys take parts in several tournament in and outside the state and become a good professionals.

Total 13 team of different district played from December which was kick off by former Chief Minister Nabam Tuki on December 13 2018. Total 22 matches were played in 11 days .
