I-Day Celebration- Dy CM Mein review the Security Arrangements in Namsai

In order to review the overall security scenario and arrangements for Independence Day celebration in Namsai districts, Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Meinon Saturday chaired a meeting with Deputy Commissioner R K Sharma and DIG (East) Apur Bitin at DC Office chamber. Also present in the meeting were, MLA Namsai Chow Zingnu Namchoom, SP C.K.Mein and EAC Mahadevpur H.N.Dubey.
Briefing the Dy CM, DIG (E) Bitin informed that all security arrangement has been geared up to increase vigil and enhanced security and law order measures in the district. He also ensured that all his officers and subordinates staff will be deployed for maintaining law and order during the Independence Day duties.
Dy CM Mein laid emphasis on effective coordination and quick communication at all levels for quicker response and enhanced measures on security and law and order front. He asked the DIG to lay special emphasis on maintenance of law and order situation till completion of ID celebration.
Later, Dy CM Mein holds another special review meeting in the wake of the deluge experienced by several areas in recent flood with district administration. The meeting besides addressing the immediate relief and reparations also brought to table the future course of action and the need for concerted action on the part of the district administration.
Directing the district administration, Mein emphasized on providing of compensation
immediately for rehabilitation of flood affected people still staying at the relief camps. He also directed for regular and continuous supply of relief materials to the affected people. He directed the concerned department to complete the assessment of flood damage immediately and for mobilizing of ration commodities to actual flood victims.
Dy CM also directed the district administration to expedite relief works including civic repairs etc in the areas that were adversely impacted by the onslaught of rains. DCM Mein accompanied by DC R.K.Sharma with senior officers and public leaders visited and inspected the affected areas and relief camps at Mahaloni, Podumuni and Krishnapur villages under Lekang circle.
Meanwhile, MLA Namsai Chau Zingnu Namchoom also inspected the affected areas under his constituency and took stock of the situation.
