The Home Minister Bamang Felix said that Hamara Arunachal Abhiyaan (HAA) will enable all stakeholders be part of making a better Arunachal Pradesh.
While addressing a press conference at civil secretariat press information centre today to brief on the soft launch of the website of Hamara Arunachal Abhiyaan (HAA), he stressed on making the HAA a mass movement in the state where one acts as the ‘Jan Bhagidari.’
He said that HAA is an initiative with ‘Chalo Banaye Behtar Arunachal’ targeting to educate and eradicate the evils of modern society.
He further added that it is an initiative which allows the people manage for the people.
“The HAA campaign is also directed towards social issues like child labor, drug abuse, traffic management, domestic violence and crime against women, and to maintain the notion of ‘One Arunachal, United Arunachal,” he added.
He said that the main objective of the HAA is to make people aware about the laws, change mindset of the people, remove stigma attached with police and promote police-public partnership.
“HAA also hopes to inculcate civility among the people, especially the youths, and promote coordination between communities thereby paving the way towards communal harmony,” he added.
Felix opined that the success of HAA would make the state one of the top 5 policing state in India.
Partnership between police and public for better law and order maintenance would create a sense of security and confidence among entrepreneurs, and the outside investments and tourists alike. This in turn would create opportunities and greatly benefit the state, he stated.
HAA website has been launched by the Home Minister and the official launched of the campaign is scheduled on October 2 at IG Park.
