Forest Patrolling Road Controversy, DFO clarifies Allegation

DFO Banderdewa Neelam Nido clarifying his stand on the allege misuse of 1 Crore TFC fund for constriction of forest patrolling road of Taraso Circle in Papum Pare district said that he has not done anything wrong leaving aside the guidelines of the scheme.
Nido said that the scheme C/O forest patrolling road from Balaja to Deldal Milde from Ramghat to Disha Naalla-28.4 KM under Taraso Circle was sanctioned in the fag end and the tender was floated vice-versa within short time to avoid surrender of the fund.
The work have been done as per approved estimate around 28.4 KM patrolling road/foot track was constructed and as per the demand of the locals of the area a motor able road of 1.6 KM was also constructed with stone/boulder pitching and placing of sand gravel, soling and the work have been done as per specification with all required plan. Proper procedure was followed in the office of the DFO Banderdewa.
The Tender was awarded after four competitive bidders participated in the tender formalities wherein M/S Window Fine of Naharlagun was chosen as lowest bidder after scrutinizing all submitted documents which was approved by the board constituted in the division under the chairmanship of ACF.

While reacting to the allegation Nido said while pointing any allegation to a senior officer without sufficient evidences have hurted him in many ways. He also appeal that such wild allegation in the media by the concerned is only to defame and damage or tarnish his hard earned reputation of his 34 years of dedicated government service in the department of forest.
He rather suggested those youths, in spite of making wild allegation to a senior officer they should utilize their time in motivating the youths for the greater cause and wellbeing of the local people of the area so that there is no hindrance to development activities especially area like Taraso.
