Arunachal Pradesh awarded the Best Emerging Green Tourist destination award

Arunachal Pradesh was awarded the Best Emerging Green Tourist destination award.The awards were given to tourism departments/ stakeholders in recognition of their efforts towards promoting green tourism.
Department of Tourism, Govt of Arunachal Pradesh has been working tirelessly towards promoting tourism in the state. These efforts were recognised by the Travel & Leisure magazine recently in an event held at ITC Maurya, New Delhi on 15 Nov 2019.
The winners were decided through an online poll by the magazine in which the readers expressed their opinion. Ms Dia Mirza presented the award and recounted her fond memories when she visited Arunachal Pradesh.
She expressed her strong desire to visit the state once again making a mention of the sustainable tourism being promoted in Arunachal Pradesh.
