Tapir, Rijiju Trashes report of replacing Pema Khandu as CM

The President of Arunachal Pradesh Unit of BJP Tapir Gao and MoU for Home Kiren Rijiju today denied any move to replace incumbent Chief Minister Pema Khandu as speculated in a section of media.
in a statement issued by state president said “Pema Khandu enjoys absolute support of 47 BJP and 2 Independent MLAs in the 60 member House. The state BJP endorsed full support to the leadership of Khandu,”.
it must be mention here that a report published in a national daily on Friday, Pema may have to make way for an old saffron face. According to report, Union Minister of State for Home Kiren Rijiju’s name is doing the rounds as the next possible Chief Minister of the state. State BJP President Tapir Gao is also said to be in the race, the report stated.
Gao said that there is absolutely no question of replacing Khandu who enjoys full support of entire BJP party. “We in BJP do not have culture of high command replacing the political leadership in the state. The speculations so made and printed by some media houses are pure rumours that are being spread by political opponents who are playing an outdated political trick to confuse people and to vent out their sheer frustration,” he claimed.
On the other hand Union Minister of state for Home Kiren Rijiju also wrote in his facebook wall……….
” People of Arunachal Pradesh have given me a unique mandate & without the support of Ministers, MLAs, Contractors we defeated the money & muscle power. Never before a leader has received such historic & massive support cutting across party lines”.
Kiren further wrote in his facebook wall……… ” Pema Khandu is a special man. He was forced to become MLA after the tragic death of his popular CM father. He is the only Minister to resign voluntarily from Nabam Tuki Cabinet in public interest. He refused Minister post during Kalikho Pul Govt but after the Court ruling he was forced by his colleagues to accept the CM post. I’ve no contribution in making Pema Khandu as CM but I’ll not allow such spiritually clean, young & good human being to be removed by those evil forces who have destroyed & looted our beautiful Arunachal Pradesh”.
