The CISCE board has issued a circular to all the schools affiliated to it. The Circular directs the schools to to make Yoga a regular activity  and give the students a regular training in Yoga. The rationale behind this order is that Yoga is not a one day activity and children should be initiated in to its practice rather than keeping it limited to World Yoga Day celebrations.  The decision to issue the circular was taken after a meeting with the Secretary, Ministry of AYUSH earlier this month. The Ministry has asked all the school boards and societies involved in education to take steps to ensure a regular training in Yoga so that the youth imbibes it.CISCE_Logo

The schools have been advised to hold at least two yoga classes per week and to conduct lectures and demonstrations by eminent yoga gurus and professionals. So that children should be motivated to take up yoga by explaining them the physiological benefits attached to it. They should also conduct quiz, drawing &painting competitions and festivals to celebrate yoga, which in turn would familiarize the young generation to this healthy way of life.

If these steps under are undertaken by the schools the World Yoga Day celebrations would appear more lively and the students would be able to appreciate its significance as well as enjoying it further.
