Yupia- One Day Training for Urban Local Bodies

The District Health Society of Papum Pare organised one day training for Local Urban Bodies ( Councillors) on Urban ASHA and MAS on 14th February 2017 at Hotel River View Naharlagun.
Addressing the participants Dr.(Mrs) Tasso Kampu, DMO Papum Pare has given word of encouragement to all the participants and urges councillors of various wards for proper implementation of National Urban Health Mission ( NUHM) programmes. She also stressed for the effective service delivery among the vulnerable people in slum areas, so that they can avail all the health facilities like JSY, JSSK, PMSMA,RI,MI etc from nearest health facility( Sub-Centre/PHCs/CHCs/DH/TRIHMS). She also assured to give full cooperation to all councillors for conducting SWACHCH BHARAT ABHIYAN especially cleaning rivers, in and around the capital complex.
Dr. Jomnya Ado, DRCHO cum CEO DHS Yupia briefed the participants about the aim and objectives of training. He mainly focussed on the role and responsibility of Councillors in monitoring and supervisions of NUHM programmes especially community process. He also emphasis on service delivery of urban ASHAs and MAS in their respective wards under the guidance of councillors and the district ASHA Resource Centre (ARC).
Earlier Dr. Tana Raju, DANO Papum Pare in his welcome address warmly welcomed resource person Shri Debojit Borah, State Facilitator, RRC North East and Shri Namgey Tsering Consultant,CP RRC North East and all the participants for their gracious presence in the training programme.
