Biku Goswami, Fisheries entrepreneur and one of the progressive fish farmers gave detail about technique to starts a commercial farming, available indigenous aquarium fish in locality and their values in market induce breeding of fish and demonstrated all the basics of the aquaculture.
Tagi Yonggam, DDF, dwelt at length on the importance of integrated fish farming with animal husbandry, horticulture & agriculture. He also trained the attending farmers about existing Arunachal Pradesh Fisheries Law and requests the entire participant to conserve the available fisheries resources of the area for sustainable fisheries.
While appreciating Deputy Commissioner cum Chairman, ATMA and Dy. Director of Agriculture cum PD, ATMA, West Siang District for providing fund for organizing such programme, Kenbom Chisi, DFDO, Aalo trained the trainees about viability and importance of commercial fish farming in foothill reason. He emphasize that fish farming can be play an important role in giving self employment to rural educated youth of the area. He also highlights the prevailing benefit being provided by the department. The 2-days training and demonstration programme ends with distribution of Certificate to the participant.
