Rally with Slogan “No road no vote” at Kangku

A rally with a slogan and Banner of ” No Road No Vote ” held here at the circle Headquarter ‘Kangku’ of the newly created district Lower Siang in demand of road connectivity. Hundreds of people of various walk of life which include students, youths and public and community leaders. PRI leaders, GBs took part in the rally.
Addressing the gathering Dolok Banggo, General Secretary Dajo Ngomle said that ” We have been fighting for a good connectivity to the Kangku circle since successive government of Gegong Apang to Nabam Tuki government but the situation remain same, and we have no proper connectivity either from the Likabali or even by Assam side. We have been facing lots of untold suffering due to non availability of road and as the circle having 24 notified villages is still to be connected with each other by proper road connectivity.
He said that we are not playing any politic but we demand that the government should hear to our genuine problems and full fill it in the greater interest of its people living in Kangku circle of Likabali assembly constituency bordering Assam.
NEFA indigenous Human Right Organisation Chairman and former AAPSU General Secretary Domin Loya said we will move forward to state government, Government of India and to the election commission of India to press the demand. .
Galo People Forum (GPF) President Nyadaar Loya emphasis the need to unity among the people for pressing hard to meet up the demand this time and appeal all the locals not to politicalise the issue in the greater interest of the development of the area.
Several Goan Buras also address the gathering and said we shall fully support the movement and said that if government takes action they will give away the road coats in the interest of the area.
