Itanagar: Several organisation mourns demise of Dr Taba Nirmali
Her contribution towards the uplift of women of Arunachal Pradesh is unforgettable and memorable indeed.

The members of the Indigenous Faith and Cultural Society of Arunachal Pradesh (IFCSAP) today mourned the demise of Dr. Taba Nirmali, wife of Taba Tedir. Members of IFCSAP observed two minutes silence in memory of the departed soul.
Dr. Nirmali, though was government servant but was also more active in social work and dedicated for the cause of the indigenous movement and its cultural promotion, said a press release issued by IFCSAP.
Her contribution towards the uplift of women of Arunachal Pradesh is unforgettable and memorable indeed. Her death is a great loss for the entire tribal community of Arunachal Pradesh, the release added.
The All Nyishi Youth Association (ANYA) joined the said moment and mourned here death. She was first Nyishi lady MBBS in 1988. Her contribution and work for the growth and development of health sector/infrastructures in Arunachal Pradesh will be remembered forever, it said in a press release.
The Nyishi Elite Society (NES) deeply condoled the sudden demise of Dr Nirmali. NES in a press release said that apart from being an eminent professional in the field of health care, she was a philanthropist of standing order. She was also the founder General Secretary of the Arunachal Cancer Society (ACS) founded in 1999.
She opted for voluntary retirement from service in 2011 and switched over to politics to enlarge her horizon of service to the people as she was suffocating with limitations of service to the people under the grip of regulations in Government service. Considering her capability and acumen, she was appointed as Chairperson of Arunachal Pradesh State Women Commission in 2017. However, with her clear conscience, she humbly declined the assignment.
The All Lower Subansiri District Students’ Union (ALSDSU) also condoled the untimely death of Dr.Taba Nirmali, the first Nyishi lady MBBS and a founder of Niba Hospital, Papu Nallah, Naharlagun.
She was a dedicated philanthropist, an exemplary social worker, a role model women of Lower Subansiri and entire Arunachal, said a press release issued by the ALSDSU.
Capital District BJP, Itanagar unit, extends deepest condolences and sympathies on the untimely demise of Lt Taba Nirmali who was the dedicated BJP leaders of the state, a press release from Capital District Itanagar unit said. They also observed two minute silence at their function today at a city hotel for rest in peace of the departed soul.
Her death is great loss for BJP as well for the state. And pray to grief family, to give enough strength on this hour of sorrow, it said.
