The state government has entrusted the responsibility of looking after the law and order problem along the stretches of Itanagar-Naharlagun, NH 415 to Talo Potom, Additional District Magistrate-cum-Chief Estate Officer.
The government took this decision after reports of miscreants disturbing the ongoing construction works along the stretches of Itanagar-Naharlagun NH 415 particularly during night hours.
According to an official notification, Potom shall report to the state chief secretary Naresh Kumar on weekly basis.
The notification, issued by the chief secretary, further directed the IGP (law & order) to place three companies of para-military force at the disposal of Potom with immediate effect for this purposes.
Meanwhile, the chief secretary along with different HoDs of capital complex and Capital administration carried out inspection on four lane construction from Chandernagar to Rajbawan junction.
Responsibility has been fixed to all the line department officials to complete their job within fixed date, sources said adding all problems, hindrance and bottle necks were discussed and necessary direction and advisory was given.
