Itanagar- Abo-Tani festival Concludes

First and Historic foundation day and Seven days Abo–Tani festival concluded with lots of cultural extravaganza on Tuesday at the famous IG Park.

Addressing the huge gathering on the concluding programme Parliamentary Secretary Home and Education Pani Taram said that we are Arunachalee first and without discriminating different communities of state. He said it is good to see that the state government had created a separate department for welfare of indigenous communities.

He said that all need work in a pan Arunachal way so that the development of state does not hampered and peaceful co-existence in state.

Appreciating the move of ATCO for unification of all tribal community is, Abo-Tani clans like Nyishi, Apatani, Galo, Tagin, Adi etc need to be kept continuing. No one can go ahead depriving the Abo-Tani brothers who have always been contributing for the development of the state, Taram said.

He said that the NGO should not involve in any political activity in the movement for unification of all clans of Abo-Tani decedents for betterment and development of state and also not to give any communal colour.

Refereeing to the memorandum submitted Taram said that  government of Arunachal Pradesh led by Pema Khandu is a welfare government and people friendly and created the department for the welfare of indigenous community and after recent cabinet meeting the government have reviewed the word “Faith”

With regards to declaring of holiday on 25th October as Abo-Tani clan celebration day or Abo-Tani foundation day Taram said that he would inform the CM and DCM to pursue the matter. He further assured his all support for the wellbeing of the people of state in any point of time.

He also appeal the people to preserve age old cultural heritage and traditional values of tribal community of state

He continued a sum of five lakh to the NGO fund.

Guest of Honour SP Papum Pare and Incharge Capital Complex Tumme Amo in his address said that it is a good beginning and will become a history, we should understand each other and need to create one language which would reliable to all members of Abo-Tani clans.

Referring to celebration of different festivals of Abo-Tani and he observed that a single festival may be celebrated with a single language.

ATCO President  Yamra Taya briefed on the activities of ATCO and motto, aim and objective as well as formation of the organisation, Chief Advisor Taba Taku presented the memorandum which was earlier present on the inauguration day to former CM Gegong Apang, Finance Secretary Kipa Natung, IPR  Hiba Kaha, Women wing President Dipu Nabam, Galo Welfare Society (East Siang unit) President Marngu Kadu among other address the gathering.

Several cultural performances were done on the occasion by the delegated of 13 district including capital complex who visited the IG Park to take participate in the  seven days Tani festival here. More than 300 delegates took parts in various cultural and sporting events

Various Prizes were distributed for the various cultural competition, traditional activities, literary activities and sporting competition by the dignitaries on the occasion to various contingent

Former Minister Yari Dolum, Laison Officer to CM Nera Techi, AAPSU President Hawa Bagang, Vice President Mije Taku, General Secretary Tobom Dai, former ANSU General Secretary Pani Arjun, young entrepreneur Tagru Punung, executive members of ATCO among other were present on the occasion
