In a move to check selling of formalin laced fish in the market and in view of health hazard, the East Siang district administration have banned the selling of the formalin laced fish in the open market in its entire jurisdiction of East Siang district.
In an order issued by District Food & Civil Supplies Officer Tatdo Borang on July 4 has banned selling of a formalin laced fishes in any form is hereby banned in all market places within the jurisdiction of East Siang district with immediate effect.
The order of which have been circulated in all administrative officers and Market Committee Executive Members have been directed to act swiftly upon the order and take necessary action against the defaulters.
