Bamang Mangha inaugurates National Children’s Science Congress

Arunachal Pradesh Science & Technology Chairman Bamang Manga today inaugurated two days 25th National children’s science congress-2017 (state label) at Science centre, IG Park here.
Mangha while addressing the students and teachers who come to participate the state label competition from all district of state said that the modern world now a days need up gradation in technology in all walk of life. The new technology is upgrading the system by which all the day to day works are easier to complete and took less time in compare to old days.
The youths of today are future of tomorrow and emphasise the need of dedication and sincerity in all activities so that all works and activities is taken up properly. The science and Technology department have been forefront in technology up gradation and the state as well as central government is fully supporting the works.
He said that there will be ten finalist who would be selected from state will be participating at national label and assured for flight ticket from his end so that the participants would fully concentrate to win a laurel for the state.
There are vast potential and natural resource in our state for development and these resources would be utilised through implementation of various technology. He said that youths need to take a challenge for the state development as they are future of state and they can only able to do if they are fully educate in science and technology and other stream of service and serve the state in better way. He appeal the students to concentrate and excel in their academic activities and bring laurel for family, school, area, district and state.
NCSC State coordinator Pakngu Lombi deliberated his key note address and elaborated the journey of science congress celebration in state which reached to 23 years while nation will be celebrating its silver jubilee at Ahmedabad in Gujarat from November 27th 31.
Jt. Director Dr. Debojit Mohanta in his address said that since years 2009 the student of the state have been given special emphasis when the 1st model was selected.
Director Science & Technology & Member Secretary APSCST C.D. Mungyak assured full support of department in promoting scientific approach for the students.
The technical session witness the project and models and its explanation and presentation by the young students scientist who have been selected from the various district of the state. A total of 63 participating students and 21 teachers from 63 schools of state are participating in two days function.
Several students presented their deliberation through power point presentation and model, scientific project and charts. This year the topic was “science, technology and innovation for sustainable development” with special emphasis on accessibility for person with disability.
SRCAC Scientist Dr, Swapna Acharjee, Chief Chemist, PHED Dr. Vinod Pokhrel, NERIST Associate Professor A. Dinamoni Singh among others jury members monitoring and moderating the two days function alongwith the APSCT officials etc.
