Arunachal: APCA conducts special holy mass as a part of centennial year

Arunachal Pradesh catholic association (APCA) today conducted special holy mass at St. Joshep cathedral church at Nyokum Lapang .

The flag rally of All India Catholic Union (AICU) for national integration to mark the completion its centennial year reached at Itanagar Diocese. The holly mass was a part of awareness .

Addressing the function, All India catholic union (AICU) coordinator Tok Buttum said every religion teach for peace and harmony. “This flag rally is to show and signify that we are one and that we should live together in peace while praying for each other, he said”.

He said that charity began at home and we have to start good teaching to our children at  home right from use of mobile phone and good behavior with elders and other so that they become a good citizens and sever the community, society, state and nation. He also urge upon all to   shoulder the responsibility of a good citizens for national unity and integrity.

APCA President Taw Tebin said that AICU flag brought to Itanagar with a morning prayer. The flag rally which began from Kerala last January will proceed to other north eastern dioceses from Itanagar.

It will return to New Delhi in the month of August 22 for the celebration of its centennial year in the National Capital from August 23 onwards.

He said that the celebration would be an historic one for the catholic community of country were several union minister, chief minister of Delhi government and eminent personalities would be present.

Former chief minister of Arunachal Pradesh Nabam Tuki will also attend the function from the region as a special guest there, he informed.

Vicar General Rev. Fr. Jacob Mattathilany administered the Holy Mass at Itanagar Cathedral Church to formally receive the flag and offer prayer for the national integration, he said that the flag rally is a denotation to uphold peace in the country and to project national integration.
