In a cultural evening Shaam-e-Police– 1535 Constables of Arunachal Pradesh Police (APP) thanked the State Government for their promotion.

Arunachal Pradesh Police along with Arunachal Pradesh Police Welfare Society (APPWS) celebrated its 46th Raising Day and the Special Grade Promotion of 1535 Constables to Head Constables through a music filled Cultural Evening, Shaam-e-Police on Friday Evening.
The event was attended by Chief Minister Pema Khandu, Deputy CM Chowna Mein, Home Minister Kumar Waii, BJP President Tapir Gao, Chief Secretary Satya Gopal, in presence of SBK Singh, DGP and other senior officers of administration, Central Agencies and Police Department. The audience comprised Police personnel and their family members and general public.
The evening started with Alankaran Samaroh, where 1535 Constables thanked the State Government for the promotion. It was then followed by distribution of Rewards to personnel of Arunachal Pradesh Police who have performed their duties with outmost sincerity and dedication.
The winners of recently concluded events by APPWS, Mural Painting Competition and Digital Workshop were also awarded in the function.
The evening then saw finale of Music Talent Search Competition.
The competition, which was conducted throughout the state, saw participation from Police personnel and Police families in two categories. The finalist from both the categories performed today at the function.
The star attraction of the evening was the performance of Bollywood Singer, Jasbir Jassi and his team. The singer, who travelled into the state especially for this function sang popular Bollywood and Punjabi numbers.
