On apprehensions raised from certain quarters on the issue of Tibetan Rehabilitation Policy ( TRP ) , the State Govt reiterates that any policy decision taken by the state govt will keep the state’s interest paramount. Therefore, it is an appeal to cooperate with the Govt in this regard. said a press release issued by the Govt.
It may be recalled that the Chief Minister has also stated in the recent meeting at Tawang that no decision will be taken which will hamper the interest of the state and the indigenous population’ added in the press release.
further it was in the press release that the ” Tibetan Rehabilitation Policy was implemented by Govt. of India in 2014 to provide a uniform guideline demarcating the facilities to be provided to the Tibetan Refugees from the central govt programs living within the jurisdiction of each State Government”.
“Since Arunachal Pradesh also has three Tibetan settlement areas, the Tibetan Rehabilitation Policy 2014 of Govt of India was discussed in the State Cabinet recently and decided that a policy will be adopted by taking the broad principles of the central policy taking into account the interest of the State indigenous population after holding detailed consultations with the Community Based Organisation and stakeholders” added in the press release.
