Massive Fire at Nirjuli , 4 house gutted

A massive fire broke out at P sector, Nirjuli early morning gutted four Type-II government house completely along with all household belongings.

Naharlagun Fire Station Officer Sujit Chakraborty said information received this morning at around 5.30 about fire incident at P Sector at Nirjuli and on receipt of information three fire tender from Naharalgun and one machine from Itanagar station rushed to the spot The team of fire fighters alongwith himself and SFO P C Roy with the help of locals have been able to contain the fire ablaze and stopped from spreading in the area and saved many quarters in the vicinity.

However very less property was able to save as the fire was so huge and could not able to save the property, Since all the government qtrs were attached with OBT /kucha house and due to which the four housed and the attached kucha house was gutted completely and beyond repairing.

       

Four family become homeless and the house of Yowa Tabo, Tarh Gungkap, Tadar Robin and Gyamar Paru was devour in the massive fire. Chakraborty said that the cause of the fire is reported to be short circuit.

IMC Dy. Chief councillor Tarh Nachung who is local councillor of Nirjuli and Nirjuli market welfare committee has strongly request the state government to immediately provide fire tender vehicle for Nirjuli so that the quantum of loss could be reduced due to fire accident in near future.

The incident once again made it compulsory for placement of fire tender at Nirjuli police station to avert any kind of future fire accident within Nirjuli area and the fire tender from Naharlagun couldn’t reach on time in case of emergency.

        

Parliamentary Secretary (PWD, UD) etc cum local MLA Techi Kaso, ICC Deputy Commissioner Prince Dhawan, EAC Naharlagun Hento Karga visited the sport to make first hand assessment of the loss suffered by the families and provided immediate relief to the victims.

 Kaso provided cash of rupees eighty thousand as immediate relief and requested the DC to provide relief from the administration side,

DC Dhawan on other hand directed EAC Karga to immediately complete the formalities and DC assured to provide immediate relief from administration side.

Meanwhile few materials were also provided to the victims by the IMC Deputy Chief Councillor Tarh Nachung and Nirjuli Bazar Welfare Committee.
