Itanagar: Youth arrested with stolen Gold and Traditional ornaments
The Capital Police arrested a 19-year-old youth on theft charges and recovered Stolen Gold and Traditional Ornaments from his possession.

According to Tumme Amo, SP Capital, on 15/10/19 a written FIR was received from one Mrs. Yajum Rebi Yaying regarding , some unknown miscreant had entered into her house located near Donyi Polo B.Ed College by breaking door lock and stolen away all her gold jewelleries worth Rs. 3 Lakhs approximately from the locker of her Godrej Almirah. Accordingly a case was registered and endorsed SI A K Singh for investigation.
On very next day another complaint was received from one Ms. Aseng Perme regarding some unknown miscreant had stolen away all her local traditional ornaments from her rented room at Nino Apartment, near Donyi Polo B.Ed College on 15/10/2019 between 11:15 AM to 12:00 PM
Both the incidents took place at same time and in same locality.
During investigation of several CCTV footage of that locality , investigation team supervised by Insp M Geyi, OC Itanagar PS, K Sikom SDPO, found that one person wearing long pant, without sleeve T-Shirt and sandals, mask on the face and having one Pithoo bag with him found roaming in the same locality. He was also seen entering into the Nino Apartment from where local ornaments were stolen away.
Based on CCTV footage analysis and information from reliable sources one youth Yura Tate (Age-19 Yrs, resident of Bank Tinali near Donyi Polo B.Ed. College Itnagar was apprehended on 16/10/19 and thoroughly interrogated.
During interrogation he admitted that he had committed theft at both the above mentioned locations. Accordingly he was formally arrested in instant case after observing all legal formalities.
The stolen articles i.e. 02 pairs of gold ear rings, 01 gold neck chain having locket, 01 gold ring, 04 gold plated bangles, 01 no. Samsung mobile, 01 ladies wrist watch and all the stolen local ornaments were recovered and seized as per the disclosure statement of the accused. The wearing apparels of the accused which he wore during commiting of crime were also seized from his house. The arrestee was produced before Court on 17/10 and remanded for further investigation.
