Itanagar: Woman’s body found near 6 Kilo, suspected of being electrocuted
The lady was identified as Romik Yapi, 40 years wife of Romik Tara of 6 kilo, Itanagar.

Body of a woman was found at 6 Kilo between Itanagar-Naharlagun NH-415 on Friday afternoon, informed capital police. She was identified as Romik Yapi (40) wife of Romik Tara of 6 kilo, Itanagar.
Capital SP Tumme Amo inform that on Friday at about 3 pm an information was received through Control Room that, one dead body of a local lady was found lying at 6 Kilo near old Toyota dealer, Itanagar.
Accordingly, team consisting OC of Itanagar police station, SI R. Singpho, ASI A.K Jha, CRPF personnel and Lady constable of Women Police Station rushed to the place of occurrence. Later on, ASP Capital Complex, DySP(HQ) and SDPO Itanagar joined the team. Information was passed telephonically to the Executive Magistrate-cum-EAC, Itanagar Hengo Basar.
Amo said that on analysing the place of occurrence (PO) and by examining witnesses it was learnt that, the cause of death was suspected due to electrocution as a live wire came in contact with CGI sheet and the lady suspected to get in touch with it.
Inquest over the dead body of deceased conducted and the dead body was taken to R.K. Mission Hospital, Itanagar and kept in Morgue for a night. He said.
The lady was identified as Romik Yapi, 40 years wife of Romik Tara of 6 kilo, Itanagar.
Later on receipt of written complaint from deceased’s husband Romik Tara a case vide Itanagar UD Case No. 10/19 U/S 174 CrPC registered and endorsed to SI R. Singpho for further investigation of case. He added.
Amo further added that today post mortem was conducted at Tomo Riba Institute of Health & Medical Science (TRIHMS), Naharlagun and body has been handed over to the relatives for conducting last rite. However, the cause of death will be ascertained after receipt of PME report.
