Capital police arrested three persons including a woman and seized 30 km cannabis from their possession.

Naharlagun police have arrested two men and a woman from Prem Nagar, and seized 30 kgs of suspected cannabis from their possession. The team led by SI S.S Jha under the supervision of OC PS Naharlagun Inspector K. Yangfo, SDPO Kamdam Sikom and SP Capital M. Harshavardhan
A case vide Naharlagun PS Case No- 233/18 u/s 20(b)(ii)(C) NDPS Act has been registered at PS Nahrlagun.
During the regular patrolling police apprehended few teenagers boys who were found creating nuisance under intoxicating. During their investigation it was disclosed that they consumed cannabis and had procured it from Prem Nagar area of Naharlagun.
Accordingly raid was conducted at the residence of Kholi Nanu of Mengio, Sagalee and from his residence 30 kilos of suspected cannabis was seized.
Further on interrogation he revealed that he has been procuring the cannabis from Sagalee and have been selling it with the aid of his son Kholi Tade and his son’s friend Tarh Aro. Subsequently police party arrested both Kholi Tade and his friend one lady namely Tarh Aro.
All the arrested accused persons hail from Sagalee, Papumpare.
Lauding the efforts of the team Capital directed to police to arrest all those persons who are involved in illegal trade of cannabis and to curb the menace of drug from the root.
He further appealed the youth of the area to live a healthy and drug-free life.
