Itanagar: Drive against vehicles without number plates continues- Capital Police
Capital Police to continue in action against vehicle without number plate plying in twin city of Itanagar & Naharlagun.

Capital Police has started a determined drive to enforce a valid registration plate on vehicles. Thursday was the third day of this drive and police teams could be seen at various locations checking for violators. Capital police has taken action against 183 vehicles in the three days.
SP Capital Harsha Vardhan informed that this drive will help in controlling use of stolen vehicles and improve the sense of order on roads.
On the third day, four wheelers (LMVs) were also checked. Out of the 50 vehicles detected without a number plate or with faulty number plate, 11 were 4 wheelers. 20 out of the 50 vehicles have been seized by police for further verification while the rest were released after paying a fine.
SP Harsha Vardhan stated that the seized vehicles are being verified thoroughly as users have not been able to produce satisfactory documents. He once again appealed to the citizens to follow the rule regarding number plate on the vehicle.
