Former Arunachal minister arrested for obstructing traffic police

The former Home Minister of Arunachal Pradesh Takar Marde was arrested by Guwahati police on for allegedly obstructing traffic police personnel from performing his official duty near Ganeshguri on Tuesday.
According to the Police Marde, who was home minster of Arunachal pradesh during the erstwhile regimes of Dorjee Khandu and Jarbom Gamlin, got into an altercation with the on-duty traffic police personnel over some parking issues.
police sources said that , “Marde had parked his vehicle at a no-parking zone. So, when a traffic constable on duty told him about it, the former Arunachal home minister picked up a quarrel, during which he had pushed the cop.
Marde, according to police, was in no mood to obey the rules despite requests made by the on-duty police personnel, and instead used foul language.
Later, he was arrested and produced in a court which sent him to judicial custody. The police said the incident occurred at the busy Ganeshguri area of the city.
Following this, police registered a case (3313/17) against him with the Dispur police station under Sections 353/294/506 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).
Except Section 353, which relates to assault or criminal force to deter a public servant from discharging his duty, the other two Sections relate to bailable offences.
