A 32-year-old youth was found murdered near Nginu village under Wakka circle of Longding district on August 27. The deceased was later identified as Nawlak Bomham from the locality.
SP incharge Londing district, J K Lego informed, “Prima Facie, he was hit with a sharp object on the backside of his head and succumbed to death.”
He said the incident occurred at around 9 to10 PM at night.
While he was on his way to the village, he might have been intercepted and committed the crime, he added.
“After receiving the information today morning, our team rushed to the Place of occurrence (PO) and conducted all legal formalities,” said Lego.
He informed that one motorbike belonging to the deceased was found at the PO while they could not find his mobile phone.
He added that the incident might be an outcome of a personal quarrel and stated involvement of UG elements is unlikely.
He further informed that the body of the deceased has been handed over to the families and relatives after conduction all the legal formalities.
Murder case vide case no. 7/19 u/s 302 IPC has been registered at Wakka Police Station, informed Lego.
