Arunachal: NPP appreciate cabinet decision to refer Tirong Aboh killing case to NIA

NPP highly appreciated CM Pema Khandu and his cabinet’s decision to refer the Tirong Aboh, and others assassination case to the National Investigation Agency (NIA).



An emergency meeting of State Executive body of National People’s Party (NPP) Arunachal Pradesh held under the Chairmanship of Gicho Kabak State President at State NPP office Itanagar today.

The State NPP highly appreciated Govt. of Arunachal Pradesh specially Chief Minister Pema Khandu and his cabinet for taking immediate action on ambushed and killing of MLA Tirong Aboh, NPP State General Secretary Wangngoi Hakhun and nine others by suspected NSCN (IM) militants near Bogapani area in Tirap district recently in its first cabinet meeting after being sworn in on 29 May and decided to recommend the assassination case to the National Investigation Agency (NIA).

 The council of ministers on Sunday unanimously decided that thorough investigation should be carried out in a time-bound manner and justice is delivered to the bereaved families by expeditiously nabbing the killers of Aboh and 10 others.

NPP also appreciated on the state cabinet decision to providing a Group C government job and providing of Rs. 20 lakhs to the next kin of the deceased families and  as a mark of respect to the departed souls.

The state NPP would like to request state Govt. to provide sufficient security personnel to protect the life of NPP MLA candidates of TCL and State Party leaders because militant groups are targeting NPP party leaders.

The state NPP appeal the people of Arunachal Pradesh to extend full support to state police and Para Military forces during investigation and operation against the militant groups for tracing out of accused involved in the case.

State Vice-President  Nima Sangey Saling, Anok Wangsa,  Karto Kaye, General Secretary Porchu Tamin,  Kibi Kali, Secretary Tapi Sorang, Kabak Char, Margi Ngomle, Ms Washi Yalem Vice-President cum Spokesperson State  NPP Women Front  and others also spokes on the occasion. All the state office bearer attended the meeting.
