Arunachal: Clarify financial status of state- Waii asked state govt

Kumar Waii reiterated demand for clarification and justification of financial status of state within a week.

Former Home Minister and National Peoples party (NPP) leader Kumar Waii today reiterated his demand for clarification and justification of financial status of state.

Waii while talking to reporters today said that previously we approached the state government for the same and we received a letter wherein it have relaxed for deposition and withdrawal of cheque amounting to Rupees Ten lakh without while rest will be done on June 30 next without any justification and clarification.

He said that as per information there have been release of huge fund by the state government in March and the release of fund should be clear whether it is under plan or non plan head, as people of state wanted to know because the genuine contractors of state have been suffering for starting of big project works.

He appeal the caretaker government headed by chief minister Pema Khandu to intervene into the matter and immediately lift the ban on the withdrawal of all government cheque of the genuine contractors in the greater interest of the development of state. Waii said.

If the release of fund/cheque of the contractors are delayed the developmental works would be delayed, Wai added.

Referring to two smart city project, Waii said we are happy that the central government have approved two smart city project Itanagar and Pasighat but the state have failed to accord 50 % state’s share due to which the smart city project is yet to start.

Waii appeal to the state government to immediately accord state’s share as the state government have earned more revenue in compare to previous year as announced by the chief minister.
