Arunachal- Assam Rifle nabbed 2 NSCN-IM Militants in Changlang

Assam Rifles nabbed two NSCN-IM militants in Changlang district of Arunachal Pradesh. The apprehended militants were carrying out extortion from villagers of that locality.
According to defence sources the Assam Rifle Battalion based at Changlang on Friday received a information about two NSCN-IM militants who carried out extortion from the villagers. The Troop of Assam Rifle quickly launched an operation at Mullong village and nabbed two militants from the area and they were identified as Mohonong Tikhak and Ronong Tikhak.
A pistol along with live ammunition was recovered from the two along with other incriminating possessions.
Changlang Battalion under the aegis of Dao divison has been carrying out relentless operations in south Arunachal Pradesh to keep the area peaceful and out of clutches of insurgents and these apprehensions will go a long way in creating fear among the anti national elements in the area.
Security Forces have been carrying out aggressive operations in the South Arunachal Pradesh and this apprehension has struck a huge blow to the extortion activities being carried out by the underground cadres of the group in the area.
