AAPAW&HU threatened for mass movement against the apathy of the state government

All Arunachal Pradesh Aganwadi Workers & Helper Union (AAPAW&HU) today threatened for democratic movement against state government for its apathy towards their employees.
Addressing the media person at the Arunachal Press Club here today AAPAW&HU President Yashi Nalo Sonam said that we have recently observed our 1st ever foundation day celebration of the organisation wherein the Deputy Chief Minister Chowna mein and others were chief guest, For celebration of the function we well in advance written to the Directorate of Social Welfare, Empowerment and Justice Department of the same in written for grant of permission for the workers to attend. Some the employees on the plea of the organisation have reached Itanagar and participated the function and back to their place of duty. Now the department is issuing Show Cause Notice and Explanation to those who have participated the foundation day celebration function at Itanagar is a great painful act of the state government toward their employees.
She said that we have never been against the Government of Arunachal Pradesh as we are working under it and government is like mother and father and we are like their daughter and such act of officer is felt to understand by every one who so ever heard about it. All these are being done by the directorate which need to be taken into task by the higher authority.
The Aganwadi workers have been serving the state since last many years and some sixty of them from Tirap and Longdig District have been terminated in the name of less qualification is a matter of great concern that after serving the state for more than 10-15-20 years where will they go and how will they manage their bread and butter for the family and need sympathetic consideration from the state government. Therefore the sixty workers who were terminated either they need to be reinstate or lump sum compensation of Ten lakhs may be given to them.
Nalo further said that the authority have terminated 45 Aganwadi workers in Khonsa out of which 42 were restored to their post and two out of them died of shock after their termination is a humiliation for all the employees who are serving with full devotion and dedication there fore all the officers involved specially DY. Director, ICDS Cell Khonsa/Longding District need to be given punishment and they should be immediately posted out from the district for their act and a compensation of Ten lakhs may be given to Two Aganwadi Workers who died of shock after their termination .
On allegation of collection of fee Nalo said that it was only collected on voluntary basis and not byforcely for maintenance of to and fro journey and other purpose related to the programme which was managed by the district unit and is accountable. The person who alleging in social media need to submit is explanation or public apology within a week we shall file a case against him in the police station and appeal not to tarnish their hard earn image in the society.
Further they appeal the GoAP need to full fill their demand in the week or threatened to launch democratic movement to press their demand in the greater interest of the Aganwadi Workers Nalo observed.
