Indian Army Cheetah helicopter crashes in Bhutan, 2 pilots killed
The single engine Cheetah helicopter was piloted by one Indian and one Royal Bhutanese Army pilots. Indian Army undertakes training of pilots also as part of the Indian Army Training Team. There are no survivors.

In an unfortunate incident, an Indian Army Cheetah helicopter has crashed today at 1pm near Yonphullla in Bhutan in which both the pilots lost their lives, informed a defence press release.
helicopter went out of radio and visual contact soon after 1 pm. helicopter was on way from Khirmu (Arunanchal) to Yongfulla on duty. Ground SAR was launched immediately from Yongfulla. The wreckage has been located.

The Indian Army pilot who died in the crash was of Lt Col (Lieutenant colonel) rank while the other was a Bhutanese Army pilot training with the Indian Army, the news agency said quoting sources in the Indian Army.
A India Today TV report said that the incident took place when the Indian Army chopper was approaching Yonphula for landing, but instead, it crashed into the nearby hill Khentongmani. Both Indian and Bhutanese army officers were killed on the spot.
