Arunachal: Namsai as ‘Aspirational District’ is in the pace of growth- DC

Namsai after the launching of Aspirational District focuses closely on improving its Health, Nutrition and Education sectors that are lagging much behind unlike other districts.

“Our officials are working hard and adopted school in order to augment the performance both in quality and other basic infrastructures. Under ‘Hamara Vidhalaya’ the school are being monitored closely and by dint of much perseverance and effort we could able to boost up required expectation of the school for which government has awarded the district with cash prize of Rs 3 crores which is a good sign”, reveals Bijoy Talukdar newly joined DC Namsai.

When asked about the manifold challenges, the DC shares that the district with a population of 95000 as per 2011 census and three Assembly Constituencies has confronting issues. We are striving with full force to bring up this district with our hard working officials to the mainstream of development.

Other then ‘Aspirational District’s’ tasks both several central and state sponsored schemes are simultaneously implemented to meet up the burgeoning economic status of the district as well”, says the DC.

The program was launched after identifying poor performance in these sectors (Health, Nutrition and education) by the central government to effectively transform the district into the mainstream of development. The program will be implemented in 117 Districts across 28 State of India, the Aspirational district has been Launched by the Prime Minister in 3rd Oct 2018.

It needs to be mentioned that Namsai district was bifurcated from Lohit in the year 2014.
